Spain’s Ambassador to Ankara Cristina Latorre Sancho Visits Anadolu
Spain’s Ambassador to Ankara, Cristina Latorre Sancho, visited the headquarters of Anadolu. Ambassador Sancho was welcomed by Anadolu’s President and CEO Serdar Karagöz, Anadolu’s Deputy General Manager Oğuz Enis Peru, and Anadolu’s Deputy General Manager and Chief Editor Yusuf Özhan.
Discussions on Turkey-Spain Relations and Scientific Developments
In his meeting with Ambassador Sancho, Karagöz highlighted the strong relations between Turkey and Spain. The deep economic, cultural, and political ties between the two countries were emphasized. Additionally, the upcoming Aerospace and Technology Festival (TEKNOFEST) in Adana, scheduled for October 2-6, was discussed. The significance of the event for Turkey’s advancements in science and technology, especially for young people engaged in technology, was stressed.
Using Technology in the Fight Against Disinformation
Karagöz also addressed Turkey’s investments in science, technology, and space. He mentioned that Anadolu closely follows all scientific developments across the country. Regarding the fight against disinformation, Karagöz pointed out that Anadolu utilizes artificial intelligence-based systems and technology in its efforts to combat fake news. He noted the crucial role of traditional news agencies like EFE and Anadolu in this struggle.
The Situation in Gaza and Anadolu’s Role
Ambassador Sancho expressed that Spain has strong relations with Turkey and that there are many cultural similarities, making her feel at home in Turkey. After the meeting, Ambassador Sancho signed Anadolu’s guestbook.
Anadolu’s General Manager Serdar Karagöz presented Ambassador Sancho with the book “Evidence,” which documents the crimes Israel has committed in Gaza, a fundamental piece of evidence published by Anadolu.
