Anadolu Starts Journalism Training Program for Qatar News Agency

7-day program in Istanbul to include 14 courses including social media, visual design, agency journalism

Anadolu on Monday started a comprehensive training program, New Generation Journalism and Multimedia, for correspondents of Qatar News Agency (QNA) in Istanbul.

Speaking at the event, Faruk Tokat, global news director at Anadolu, said the 7-day program would involve various facets of journalism.

Tokat provided insights into Anadolu’s journey, mentioning the agency, founded in 1920, decided to expand its global reach in 2010, a move that has proven highly successful. He said it currently ranks among the top 10 news agencies in the world, broadcasting and publishing in 13 languages.

He said Anadolu has consistently covered rapid and comprehensive international events, particularly in the world’s most challenging regions.

The training program will encompass 14 courses, including agency journalism, social media, visual design, and effective communication techniques. It will also feature a cultural tour.
